Blitz Hellion is one of those cards players keep asking about. Here is, in plain words, what its official text says, the rulings published by Wizards of the Coast, and the combos players actually run.
Official card text
Trample, haste At the beginning of the end step, this creature's owner shuffles it into their library.
How it works : Blitz Hellion
Original English text — Wizards of the Coast / Scryfall
- #1· Wizards of the Coast
Blitz Hellion’s last ability triggers at the end of each turn in which it’s on the battlefield. If it’s not on the battlefield by the time this ability resolves, nothing happens. Blitz Hellion stays wherever it is, and its owner doesn’t shuffle their library.
No other card is named in this ruling.
- #2· Wizards of the Coast
A token that’s copying Blitz Hellion will be shuffled into its owner’s library when this ability resolves, then will cease to exist. For practical purposes, the token should not actually be put into the library, though the library is still shuffled.
No other card is named in this ruling.
