Drag Down is one of those cards players keep asking about. Here is, in plain words, what its official text says, the rulings published by Wizards of the Coast, and the combos players actually run.

How it works : Drag Down
Original English text — Wizards of the Coast / Scryfall
- #1· Wizards of the Coast
Domain abilities count the number of basic land types among lands you control, not how many lands you control or how many of any type.
No other card is named in this ruling.
- #2· Wizards of the Coast
The basic land types are Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest. Land types other than basic land types (such as Desert) don't contribute to domain abilities.
