Carte Magic Simulacrum

Simulacrum is one of those cards players keep asking about. Here is, in plain words, what its official text says, the rulings published by Wizards of the Coast, and the combos players actually run.

01

Official card text

You gain life equal to the damage dealt to you this turn. Simulacrum deals damage to target creature you control equal to the damage dealt to you this turn.

How it works : Simulacrum

Original English text — Wizards of the Coast / Scryfall

  1. #1· Wizards of the Coast

Simulacrum is the source of the damage. If an effect needs to know a characteristic of the damage's source, it will see the damage coming from Simulacrum.

No other card is named in this ruling.

  2. #2· Wizards of the Coast

You can't use Simulacrum on Loss of Life, just damage.

No other card is named in this ruling.

  3. #3· Wizards of the Coast

This is not damage prevention or redirection. It actually is life gain and newly dealt damage.

No other card is named in this ruling.
